Koetter Woodworking is proud to announce our recent certification to FSC STD 40-004 V2-0 EN Standard for COC
from the Forest Stewardship Council as a manufacturer of FSC certified products.
Over the years, growing public awareness has led consumers to demand that their purchases of wood and other forest
products will not contribute to the destruction of our world’s forests, but rather secure our forest resources for the future.
In response to the ever-growing demand for green building materials, certification programs of wood products have
proliferated in the marketplace. Of them, The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is one of the most widely-recognized
certification programs in the world. Builders and architects are increasingly specifying FSC-certified wood products to
express their commitment to the environment. In addition, the use of FSC labeled products assists them in obtaining
LEED® points from the U.S. Green Building Council. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) is a
performance-oriented measurement system where credits are earned for satisfying criterion that addresses specific
environmental impacts inherent in the design and construction of buildings. While this system has typically been used in
the construction of commercial and institutional buildings, it is rapidly expanding into the residential marketplace.
Making good use of our world’s natural resources is nothing new for Koetter Woodworking. For nearly 50-years, we have
proudly led the way in environmental stewardship by practicing sustainable forestry methods in the harvesting and

Woodworking was founded back in 1959.
