Who We Are Looking For:

This position will provide support and leadership for Human Resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, employee and labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, relying on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview and hire for budgeted open positions
  • Terminate or coach employees that do not perform to our standards
  • Perform conflict resolution with employees
  • Document employee actions
  • Resolve problems
  • Give written verbal warning and written warnings to employees
  • Keep web sites up to date with Zip Recruiters, Indiana Career Connect for open positions
  • Meet with employees when they need to vent or discuss concerns
  • Monitor results of drug screens and physicals
  • Do background check on new hires and potential hires
  • Work with Directors and Managers to help resolve problems
  • Be accessible to all employees
  • Interview with managers for internal job candidates for promotions
  • Conduct orientation classes on first working day of week
  • Monitor drug screen results in the event of a recordable Worker’s Comp accident
  • Administer the selected personality testing for Koetter Woodworking and customers
  • Keep up with all new laws that concern HR and benefits
  • Monitor employee turnover and recommend on how to improve
  • Review policies and changes when needed
  • Submit EEO report
  • Review all performance reviews to make sure what is said is appropriate and legal
  • Fill out government forms (Census Bureau, etc.)
  • Update Employee Handbook, as needed
