INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Who We Are Looking For:

The IT Specialist will work under the close guidance of the IT Manager in all duties and responsibilities. This person is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. They install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. Our IT Specialist will actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Human Resources; and 2 or more year’s related experience in Human Resources
  • Previous production or woodworking experience is preferred, but not required

Knowledge & Skills:

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent experience required.
  • System administration and IT certifications and familiarization with Microsoft Office suite, or other network related fields are a plus.
  • Experience in Windows Server administration (configuration/troubleshooting etc.) is required.
  • Experience in Desktop administration (configuration/troubleshooting etc.) is required.
  • Working knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols is required.
  • Knowledge/experience in with scripting and automation tools such as Powershell is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, desktop workstations and printers
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Install computers and network components including termination of network cabling.
  • Perform desktop and helpdesk support, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Assist with managing capacity, storage planning, and IT systems performance.
  • Assist with remediation of security vulnerabilities found during regular network scans and intrusion detections.
  • Maintain PBX (Private Branch Exchange)
  • Familiar with purchasing computer hardware

HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

Who We Are Looking For:

This position will provide support and leadership for Human Resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, employee and labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, relying on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
  • Possesses excellent time management, planning, and organization skills.
  • Computer literate, knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and Traverse.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret general information and follow instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and millimeters.
  • Experience should include general IT practices and working knowledge of general IT procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview and hire for open positions that are budgeted
  • Terminate or coach employees that do not perform to our standards
  • Perform conflict resolution with employees
  • Document employee actions
  • Resolve problems
  • Give written verbal warning and written warnings to employees
  • Keep web sites up to date with Zip Recruiters, Indiana Career Connect for open positions
  • Meet with employees when they need to vent or discuss concerns
  • Monitor results of drug screens and physicals
  • Do background check on new hires and potential hires
  • Work with Directors and Managers to help resolve problems
  • Be accessible to all employees
  • Interview with managers for internal job candidates for promotions
  • Conduct orientation classes on first working day of week
  • Monitor drug screen results in the event of a recordable Worker’s Comp accident
  • Administer the selected personality testing for Koetter Woodworking and customers
  • Keep up with all new laws that concern HR and benefits
  • Monitor employee turnover and recommend on how to improve
  • Review policies and changes when needed
  • Submit EEO report
  • Review all performance reviews to make sure what is said is appropriate and legal
  • Fill out government forms (Census Bureau, etc.)
  • Update Employee Handbook, as needed
